Vered Berman has been the contact person for anti-Semitism at ASH Berlin since June 1, 2025. She introduces herself and the focus of her work...
I studied Social Work and Practice Research at the Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin. I specialize in anti-Semitism, migration and racism, queer-feminist perspectives, resilience and peace work. I work in political education and counseling.
As founder of the Jewish empowerment group Jeladot.im, former advisor at Ofek e.V., peace activist in the Parents Circle Families Forum and founding and board member of Parents Circle Friends Deutschland e.V. , I am committed to a discrimination-critical, dialogue-oriented and de-polarizing debate on anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim racism and Israel/Palestine.
As the contact person for anti-Semitism at ASH Berlin, I will work together with the Presidential Board, InPuT and Sage SAGE! to protect Jewish students, support those affected by anti-Semitic incidents, advise university members and help shape the structural development of sustainable prevention and protection concepts.
Another focus of my work will be the organization of exchange formats and events that focus on dialogue, understanding and a discrimination-critical approach to anti-Semitism.
You can reach me in room 320 during my open consultation hours:
Mondays 10-12
and at any time by e-mail at Ansprechperson-antisem@ ash-berlin.eu
