The Master's course in Biographical and Creative Writing (BKS) at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin has been running since 2006. Every year, creative people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds from German-speaking countries are drawn to Hellersdorf to dedicate themselves to writing at the university.
On March 1, 2025, we graduates of the 16th BKS year made our way to Berlin-Mitte to read from our anthology of donations and present examples of texts written during our studies.
The uncomplicated and generous cooperation with the Lettrétage offered the best conditions for presenting the creative results that were produced in the various modules to a larger audience and on a reading stage.
For us writers and presenters, it was an opportunity to review the textual treasures of our studies once again and to give additional recognition to those results that were particularly close to our hearts.
The texts that were read aloud and also performed covered a wide variety of facets and topics, only some of which are mentioned here: being a teenage mother, a visit to a forest pool in Saxony, a short story written while swimming, an adventure at a petrol station or poems about the moon or flowers for the bees.
We were once again moved by our very personal and authentic texts and were also proud of having gone on this creative journey together. Each text testifies to the courage and passion needed to find one's own voice.
The evening was hosted by our lecturer Guido Rademacher, and DJ Danger Dany provided the musical accompaniment.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizers of the Lettrétage and Guido Rademacher for his tireless passion for the extraordinary Biographical and Creative Writing course.
